Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is an automated way of giving a unique IP address to every device on the network. We first connected two computers to the router using our cables we made earlier. The next step was to log into the router and change the IP address and the DHCP pool range. We did this three separate times and each time it took some time for the computers to recognize the new IP address. Once John and I had everthing configured we were able to ping other people in the group and each other.
